A: No, there is no way to clean the inside lumens of a reusable air/water syringe tip. There is no way to prevent reflux of blood and saliva into the syringe. Cross contamination between patients may occur in operatories where reusable air/water syringe tips are used. The solution is to use single-use air/water syringe tips.

A: Once the Medicom Pro-Tip Turbo air/water syringe tip is used it becomes contaminated and cannot be recycled. They are however made from recyclable material.
Q: How do I fix a Medicom Pro-Tip Turbo that leaks or drips water?
A1: Step 1: The Meidcom Pro-Tip Turbo is a single-use product and must never be reattached a second time. Try a second tip to determine if the tip was the issue. If it still drips, proceed to the next step.
Step 2: If the problem repeats with a new tip, then the seal in the converter may be the issue. Have a look at the connection to see if the seal is intact and in place. Try a small amount of silicone lubricant to see if this resolves the issue. If not, a new seal is available from Medicom.
